Tiny Twirlers
Tiny Twirlers is a playful first step into the world of dance! Designed for preschoolers, this class builds coordination, rhythm, and imagination through creative movement, simple ballet basics, and fun props like scarves and ribbons. Dancers will explore music, storytelling, and movement while developing confidence and a love for dance in a supportive, joyful environment.

Contemporary Juniors
Contemporary Juniors is a playful introduction to contemporary dance for young movers! In this class, dancers will explore musicality, expression, and storytelling through movement. Using fun combinations and basic floor work, they’ll build coordination, confidence, and artistry while learning the foundations of contemporary technique. Perfect for curious kids who love to move, imagine, and dance with feeling!​

Jazz Elevations
An upbeat and challenging class for dancers ready to expand their jazz training. This level focuses on sharper technique, higher kicks, multiple turns, and more complex combinations. Dancers will explore musicality, dynamics, and style while learning choreography that blends classic jazz elements with fresh, expressive movement. Perfect for building confidence, performance quality, and stage presence.

Contemporary Fusion
Step into a world of movement and creativity with our Contemporary Fusion class! This dynamic and expressive class blends elements of contemporary ballet, jazz, commercial dance, and contemporary dance to create a fluid and powerful experience. This class encourages creativity, experimentation and fluidity while enhancing your technique and emotional connection to music. Contemporary fusion class uses a lead-follow approach that emphasizes musicality and flow through movement. This class is high energy and fast paced and appropriate for high-intermediate and advanced level dancers.

Pointe
Discover the elegance and artistry of ballet with our Pointe*! Designed for intermediate to advanced dancers, this class focuses on developing strength, technique, and flexibility for pointe work. Students will refine their skills through classic variations from renowned ballets, learning intricate choreography while enhancing their ability to perform with grace and precision. Whether you’re looking to improve your pointe technique or explore beautiful variations, this class offers a supportive environment for dancers to reach their fullest potential. Join us and take your ballet training to new heights!

Jazzy Juniors
Jazzy Juniors is the perfect class for energetic young dancers who love to move, groove, and shine! In this upbeat class, dancers will learn the fundamentals of jazz technique—kicks, turns, jumps, and footwork—while building rhythm, coordination, and confidence. Each week includes fun combinations set to kid-friendly music that keeps dancers excited and inspired. This class is designed to nurture creativity and self-expression while laying the foundation for more advanced dance training.

A fun and energetic introduction to jazz technique! Dancers will focus on rhythm, isolations, kicks, turns, and dynamic movement while building strength, flexibility, and coordination. This class lays the groundwork for jazz style and performance skills in a supportive, confidence-building environment.

Contemporary Foundations
An introduction to contemporary dance for developing dancers. This class builds strength, flexibility, and coordination while exploring the basics of floorwork, turns, leaps, and expressive movement. Dancers will focus on musicality and storytelling while building confidence and creativity.

Contemporary Elevations
Designed for more advanced dancers, this class takes contemporary technique to the next level with more complex turns, jumps, and floorwork. Students will develop artistry, dynamics, and personal style through guided improvisation, choreography, and expressive movement. Emphasis is placed on fluid transitions and emotional connection to music.​

Contemporary Partnering
This class explores the art of connection, weight sharing, and trust between dancers. Students will learn lifts, counterbalances, shared momentum, and safe partnering techniques while applying them to contemporary combinations. Emphasis is placed on communication, timing, and artistry, helping dancers build confidence in working with a partner while deepening their performance skills. (to be taken with contemporary elevations)

Private Lessons
Private lessons with Ms. Chloe are tailored to your dancer’s goals—whether that’s refining technique, building confidence, polishing a solo, or prepping for auditions and competitions. Sessions focus on clean lines, musicality, and safe, repeatable mechanics (turns, leaps, extensions), with clear drills your dancer can practice at home. Ms. Chloe’s warm, detail-forward coaching style meets each dancer where they are and moves them forward fast with measurable checkpoints each week. Lessons are available for all ages and styles (ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, technique, and choreography). Great for new solos/duos, skill tune-ups, and injury-smart conditioning.

VMC Company Rehearsal
This class is for Vancouver Movement Collective company dancers to dive deeper into the creative process. Sessions focus on learning new choreography, rehearsing upcoming pieces, and refining advanced techniques. Company class is a dedicated space to grow as an ensemble—building artistry, precision, and connection through collaborative exploration. Classes are held a minimum of once per month, with additional sessions scheduled as new works develop and performance opportunities arise.
Company auditions are held yearly in June, but if you're new to Vancouver Movement Collective, have previous dance experience and are interested in joining the VMC Company, please reach out to discuss opportunities. 

VMC Competition Team Practice
This program is for dancers selected to represent Vancouver Movement Collective at competitions. Team classes focus on learning choreography created specifically for competition, developing advanced technical skills, and refining performance quality. Dancers rehearse group pieces, duets, and solos while building artistry, teamwork, and stage presence. Practices are held monthly to prepare for upcoming competitions through out the season, with additional rehearsals scheduled as specific competitions approach.

Competition Team auditions are held yearly in June, but if you're new to Vancouver Movement Collective, have previous dance experience and are interested in joining the VMC Competition Team, please reach out to discuss opportunities.

Our school year calendar runs from September through June. There are two studio-wide performances scheduled per calendar year, one in January and one in June; these are a wonderful time to showcase the dancers talent and artistry, and a wonderful community event.

Please note: Students will be placed into the appropriate class level based on assessment of skills and technique along with consideration for the age guidance shown below. If a student is found to be between levels, they may be advised to take the lower level class as well as the higher level or they may benefit from private lessons to develop fundamentals. Our dancers move through the levels based on careful, constant and individual assessment throughout the year. We offer a complimentary trial/placement class for all prospective students. ​​

Monthly Class Fee Schedule
​
Our school year runs for 10 months, from September to June. Students take classes for the full year, and tuition is split evenly over the ten month period rather than requiring payment in full up front. Breaks and holidays are figured into the monthly payments. We have open enrollment which allows students to join mid-year.​​​​​​​
